CHILLICOTHE, Ohio, Nov. 23, 2015 — As part of our national Adopt-A-Pet program, Petland Chillicothe hosted another successful adoption event with the Ross County Humane Society.
“Petland is proud of our relationship with the Ross County Humane Society. This partnership is a collaborative relationship with the sole goal of finding forever homes for homeless pets in Ross County,” states Joe Watson, President and CEO of Petland Inc. “For many families, adoption best meets the needs of their family. Petland has successfully placed more than 350,000 homeless through our nationally renounced Adopt-A-Pet program.”
On Saturday November 14, 2015 Ross County Humane Society found new homes for 11 lost pets – 4 were a direct result of the event at Petland. “Our relationship with Petland provides these homeless pet with a high traffic retail setting which provides increased opportunities for adoptions,” says Jenn Thomas, Executive Director for the Ross County Human Society. “Our number one objective at the shelter is to care for and find lasting homes for the pets in our care. Having the opportunity to take our pets to a busy retail location helps introduce more of the public to the opportunities of adoption.”
